Skateboard Coaching Qualification

Ever thought of becoming a skate coach? Or, do you have your qualification but lack the real world experience? We can help you on your way!

Free Mind Skate School runs interactive workshops delivering Level 1 Skate Coaching accreditation through the Australian Skateboard Federation. This workshop provides you with hands on experience and qualifies you for further experience programs that help get you job-ready, rather than just giving you the certificate and sending you on your way. We are passionate about the standard of coaching in Adelaide, and we want all new and upcoming skate coaches to have the best chance at success while delivering the highest quality coaching service possible. As well as your coaching accreditation, this course will cover industry-specific components that will ensure the best chance of success as a legitimate skate coach. For example; the necessary insurance and clearances required, managing relationships, empathising with beginners, marketing yourself, understanding the market, upholding high personal standards, and many other components that will help you survive and thrive as a self-sufficient skateboard coach.

Josh is well known in the skate community and within local councils due to his constant involvement in the facilitation of skate related events, skate coaching, as well as being a competition judge with the Australian Skateboard Federation. With the experience gained working at skate programs across the country, Josh acknowledges that Adelaide is at a disadvantage to other cities in Australia. The urgent need for an industry standard for skate coaching here in South Australia is what fuels the passion to give back to the skate community and create employment opportunities in skateboarding.
